New delivery getting even better!! PICS included

Hey all, I just took delivery of my new X5 yesterday that I got a great deal on (63K OTD w/112mi.) for an Alpine White/Sand Beige w/:

Alpine White/Sand Beige Nevada
Cold Weather
Premium
Premium Sound
Rear Climate
Sport Package/w 20" Y spoke wheels
Tech Package
Auto tailgate
Comfort Access
Running boards
Rear seat entertainment
Ipod adapter
Head up display
HD radio
Satellite radio

and anyway, so right before I left the dealer yesterday I noticed a very small scratch on the plastic that covers the instrument panel. It is about 2 inches long and is not deep at all, but being that I see every little detail about everything, I asked my client advisor if they could replace the plastic piece. He said sure no problem. So today I get a call from the sales manager who informs me that you can't just replace the plastic piece, but would have to have the whole instrument cluster removed and replaced. He said it would be about a 4500K fix for the dealer with some labor hours on top of that. I thought that was crazy! So he said he would offer me a compromise. He said if I could "tolerate" the scratch, he would extend that cost of the repair off the cost of the vehicle and not schedule to have it fixed. So he offered 4200K off! I couldn't believe it. The scratch isn't that bad at all and hardly noticeable (it's between the 100 and 120 mph markers//see pic below) and for 4200K off, I think I can deal with it!

Just throught I'd share that!

Thanks again!

it's between the 100 and 125mph markers....i'll try to take a closer pic that shows it better...it's hardly noticeable but I always tend to see the small things like it....but I figured since it was a brand new vehicle, it shouldnt be there! So I'm glad I noticed it now!

Nice ride! I'm seeing more and more people ordering white. Just don't run out and get all black wheels now like that other poster in Germany

Congrats on the great car and the fantastic deal you got!

Should have said that in the previous message but I was too consumed by the sense of enviness

Yeah right, you probably created the scratch yourself...

Of course I am just joking.

Hmmm.. Can they be sued because of the scratch that is why they offered the money? Any lwayer in this forum that can answer?

wow, when I ordered mine (looks a lot like yours except the interior color) they laughed at me when I asked for any kind of discount, and you got 5% off for a minor cosmetic issue... awesome!

Congrats!

Buy the way, was that $4200 discount on top of the 63K out the door price you mentioned in another post?

Envy is a strong word ... I am simply Jealous
