Forget about the new iDrive, voice commands, and all that other ancient technology. With the Funf Driesig AG "Be One with your BMW for Dummies" you merely THINK and it happens. The engineers and orcs at Funf Dreisig AG have been developing and testing this stupendous product for billions of milliseconds. The only problem has been getting the orcs to control their thoughts. We've lost several X5s and engineers when the orcs lost their cool. FWIW I wouldn't worry about this sticker, since it is only half of the system. To feel completely safe though you might want to check for any little missing patches of hair on the back of your head. Umm.. you didn't drink any coffee at the dealer did you? Penguin, great find. I did have one of the headlights changed due to fogging so I guess they use RFID to track their parts.
I am getting tired of visiting the dealer every 3 months to change a broken part. Thank goodness for the 4 year maintenance/warranty plan but this BMW is sold before it expires. I appreciate all the funny posts too!!

Yep, good find, RFID tag. Pretty elaborate configuration of the layout.

Now that Penguin has blown our cover (thanks Penguin
) we can reveal that the early prototypes of the Funf Dreisig AG "Be One with your BMW for Dummies" were disguised as RFID inlays by Alien and required a driver implant. The latest model however is completely hidden, installed at the factory and requires no mods to the driver. So next time you are driving your X5 and someone cuts in front of you, we suggest you think happy thoughts and both you & your X5 will feel much better.Funf Dreisig |

Okay so it's a RF id tag, but I still don't get what they are tracking. I can understand parts distributors tracking where their parts are going. But the O.P. mentioned it wasn't there and the dealer most likely put it on. So what exactly is the dealer tracking??
