Actually, the X3 isn't too bad. It's nimble and fun to drive. It's just not my beast. Fingers crossed the part should be in tomorrow and I can get the X6 back Monday...

I've had other issues this week. I have an infection in my eye and haven't been able to wear my contact lenses. I can put them back in tomorrow. The world is almost right again.

I am not happy. Won't know the deal with the part until tomorrow and I can't drive it the way it is. I'm going to blow up this X3, trying to jump on it the way I jump on the X6.

Stay tuned.
Hope you get your X6 back today and your eyes are doing better.

If it is not fixed tell them you want a better loaner.

Since you have a loaner, BMW will get the part to your dealer a lot faster. I waited 3 months for a part to fix a check engine light.

I hope you have your car soon. They should be able to track your part.

I give you credit, I'd be freaking waiting three months. It's two weeks today. I've been very patient so far.

I wasn't happy and waited another 5 weeks for a heated fuel filter. I received 600.00 compensation from BMW, but decided I had enough
of BMW's excuses for their parts shortages and traded my X5 35d for
a 2010 Lexus GX 460 premium.

I hope you get your part soon.

I need to change my screen name to cmyX3trytogo

They told me today it will be another week. I'm going there tomorrow to talk to them. My SA is great but there must be something they can do to expedite

Years ago when I needed a new rear drive for my BMW K75S motorcycle, the parts guy got it rather quickly. He said he put a priority code of "VOR," "Vehicle Off Road," on it and BMW air freighted it from Germany.

I have no idea if BMW still uses these priority codes, but it wouldn't hurt to ask the SA about it.
