Thanks LeMans. Looks like things aren't as bad as implied by the mainstream media.
Great information! |

would be interesting to see the ///Ms listed separately just so we get an idea how many sold. I know there's no '08 data.

They're also one of the few sedans in the world that can support the weight of armor without massive work to the car and they qualify as SUVs according to the IRS if they're properly equipped as they "can" have GVWRs over 6,000 pounds, allowing major tax benefits to buying the vehicle (it still needs a bit of chassis reinforcement). My father lives in Kosovo, and sends me photos of rows of them. I've saw a ton of them in Bogota, Colombia last year (in 2009). It was perhaps the most popular luxury sedan in the city, mainly due to the influx of Americans to the region, many of whom "think" they need security 24/7. It wouldn't surprise me if 40% to 50% of the sales were to such entities. Either way, pretty good numbers, especially in this economy. |

yet these were all BMW North America sales......so me thinks that Santa left a lot of Z4s and 7 Series under the tree last month......or the folks at Fannie Mae spent their bonus checks........
