I agree. Looks like to make the change you need to replace the front quarter panels. If you have that much money to waste, buy a 2011.

I like the rear tail lights and will probably do the swap eventually. Should just be plug and play? Anyone else plan to do it? Let see how much the rear lights going to cost.

2011 looks way better.

Less plastic, ftw. Black plastic looks like sh*t, on non-black X5's.

I think both look nice. However, I think the 2010 looks more rugged, more SUV-like. The 2011 looks sportier and more for the road....like the Cayenne.

+1

What's so special about the new tail lights? Can't really tell the difference.

You can also see the black plastic bumpers on old non-black X3s before they went body color. Especially if you see it in person, the height of it makes it look like they forgot to paint the entire lower half of the vehicle. This is one of the reasons I had to have the aero kit.

Not a surprise they went body color with the X5s now like the X3s have, but why E70s were initially black plastic when X3s were going body color already I dunno. If there's the '10 front with '11 rear that'd be great. Recall they supposedly needed more cooling for the turbo engines so they had to make the bigger vents in the front (also shifting the fogs) yet the 35i has fake vents. Does the 50i even need it or was it changed for the sake of change?

i bet we'll see more rear "facelift" fixes. the new bumper is much improved

Appearance-wise, it's not a huge difference. However, I would love to trade-in my 2010 3.0i for the 2011 3.5i for the extra HP.
