Actual Gas Mileage
With a little over 1000 miles on her we are getting 24.5 mpg in about a 60/40 mix (highway vs. city). Man I love this ride!!!
Don't know if high elevation driving makes a difference.

Hey guys, Quick Question. After this dealer here in miami took my car in for a recall on a fuel delivery unit, I have been avg. 12 MPG! I used to avg at least 15-16MPG.
I drive 80/20 City/Highway. But even so, I shouldn't be below 14MPG. So I refilled again and I already used 1/4 tank of gas and avg now is 11.6MPG... arghh, I hate that dealership cause according to the reviews, most of the people say, "you go in with one problem, you come out with another." Edit: This is a 2008 3.0SI... yes, a 3.0.. sadly. |

2000 Miles on an X5 35i
Just crossed the 2,000 mile mark on my 1 1/2 month old X5 Premium. Drive around 70% city and am getting 19.4 as my mpg. Pleasantly surprised. My wife's 3.0i (traded in) was getting 15.8 mpg after 22,000 miles.
Not sure if it is the 8 speed transmission, the turbos or what, but that is a 22.7% increase. Not too shabby. |
