20" X6 wheels on X5 - style 259

After waiting for a long time, debating should I or shouldn't I, finally it was time to give in. Here are 20" X6 wheels (style 259) on my 08 X5. I bought these from a member here and put on the new tires, Toyo Proxies ST II. The rears were professionally bored out to fit X5 by the previous owner, so I just needed to bolt these on. The ride is so much better than the stock 18" run flats, I am wondering why I didn't do this sooner.

Enjoying them so far. Not sure how much they will affect my gas mileage, but hoping for the best

Those look great! I LOVE style 269 wheels.

I'm considering getting them for my X6. I like the style of 19s that came with the sport pack on my car, but I'd really like to get some 20s.

BTW: Do you really have a binary license plate?

Looks very clean . . . If u don't mind, would u be able to take a couple close up pics of the tire and wheels. I am interested in getting the proxes but curious to see the tread pattern with the wheels. Thanks !

Sure, here they are.. (with all the rain here in Vancouver for last couple of days, wheels got dirty again and iPhone camera doesn't do much justice to the lower two pics)

Edit: rain, iphone

I can get a set of these for $295 a wheel. Am considering just getting 4 of the front rims (as they fit the X5 hubs with no modifications and I can run the same size of tire all around and be able to rotate them).

Anyone used the same 20"s style 259 around on all 4's? Work OK or??? It's not cost difference in the rims to go with staggered setup - just tire pricing. I like the look of the rims a lot.

You mean 259 wheels?

I got offered some today but wasn't sure if they were too much like the 209 that I hated (those were my winter wheels).
