Nice. I went with a European hitch myself as I just could not bear to cut the bumper. This is the way to go.

How did you handle the PDC? Did you get it programmed/coded? If so, does it work properly to disable the PDC when the trailer is connected?

Is there an OEM hitch solution that doesn't require cutting the bumper or Execuhitch is pretty much he only way to go? How do you like your Execuhitch? Is it stable? If you can spare a few minutes, I would really like to see more pics of your 2011 X5 50i M Sport (I have a 2012). Cheers!

Quick question: did you reuse the mounting nuts of the bumper core support for the Execuhitch or did you get new mounting nuts? Thanks!

I would not reuse those nuts, get new ones. The have to be torqued to a certain spec, and they have a built in lock washer.

Here are some pics of the Execuhitch on my 2012 BMW X5 50i with M Sport Package.
It's not visible unless you kneel and look under the vehicle: Here's one taken from under the vehicle: The guys at Execuhitch are great by the way. Especially Daryl who really took the time making sure I was getting the right items for my specific model. I got the manual Execuhitch with the BMW wiring (from my friendly but expensive local BMW dealer) to take advantage of the advanced tow-friendly features built into the vehicle (such as Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and disabled warnings from the Park Distance Controller (PDC) whenever a trailer is plugged into the wiring harness). I've spent hours looking for the perfect hitch and the Execuhitch is the best option I could find. Hope this helps!
