Turning in my 528i for a 2012 5.0i

I guess I'm joining the club. Just confirmed the order last week, here is the build:

Share My BMW

They didn't have any 5.0i's on the lot, so I have only felt the 3.5i turbo 6, which was already a nice improvement from the 528i inline 6 I've been driving for the last 3 years ...so I am going ot go out on a limb and say that the 5.0i will probably satisfy my inner hooligan . I will probably go to black rims at a later date. Love the stance of the 215 black double spoke package (one of the sales guys has it on his black '07 X5), but not the price tag lol. If any one has recommendations for something comparable from another rim manufacturer, I'm all ears.

Anyways, look forward to hanging out here.

Welcome. You are in for a treat.

I regularly go back and forth between my moms 328ic and my x5. Last time I did so my friend looks over to me, upon getting back into my truck, and says "it is f***ing hilarious that your truck is far faster and brakes better than the car. What has this world come to?"

I hope you don't like gas, this engine will corrupt your otherwise sound logic, every time.

That's a big HP jump from 528i. 400 horses. Your price tag is just $10k less than X5M.

If I were you, I would get the M package with the 333M 20' wheels. That has to be one of the most beautiful looking trucks there is. I'm actually trying to get those wheels for my '11 x5d because I like them so much

I do like the 333m style. Though I am dead set on getting black rims with a 315 wide fronts / 325 back staggered setup. It looks so mean!

Congrats on the upgrade! Power + handling + size = your inner hooligan will have waaaaay too much fun!

Hummm style 215s in black, something like this might fill that desire

I'd love to get those black wheels when my x arrives. Can you replace the caps with the BMW caps? What's the going rate on getting the factory wheels powder coated in black??

Yep, the center caps are replaceable and BMW does make a cap in the size which fits them! Powered coating depends on your local guru's prices, I've heard as low as 80 a wheel to as high as 300 a wheel.

The caps are 70mm just like the genuine BMW caps found here
