iPhone 4 w/ iOS 5.0.1 Works with bluetooth very well, and with the USB cable for music well also. The snap-in adapter is another story. It ("Media") version works with BMW apps, but so far, no sounds are transmitted. I have a service appointment scheduled to work it out.

Thanks Joe.

Jobu, Did you buy the Media version? $150 premium over the regular one.

For those interested, I tried bunch of things with my Blackberry, and here is what I found.
Blackberry Bold works via USB when it is set as Mass Storage.
I can access all my playlists, and browse all my music via database style, search by artist, album, etc.. Browsing the phone is also possible at file system level, but it is a shame that pictures or videos do not show up as compatible, even though the folder is shown.
On top, if I enable bluetooth, I can just keep it paired via bluetooth and continue listening to music via USB so when a call comes in I can still take it, and then go back to listening to music. Otherwise if BT did not pair I would have to take it out of the center console to talk to them.
I still cannot get data connection to work (I keep getting an error when I try google search). Is that an optional add-on?

What I would like to do is listen to internet radio and pandora on screen, and I am told only iPhone is compatible with that. Otherwise you cannot skip songs directly on screen...
