Angel Eyes on newer BMW's

I've been seeing the newer BMW these days which seem to have "whiter" angle eyes. What are they using to get them that white? I asked a co-worker who bought a new 3 series, and he had no idea, said it came like that.

Any Ideas?

Mahalo.

new Angel eyes are LED, not sure if they can be retrofitted, you can call the parts dept and ask

So it seems that all the OTHER models get features first. OK.

I do LIKE the LED lights and halos.
But I do rather like the CONTRAST I get with my "conventional" halos and HIDs.

It is, at a quick glance, harder to distinguish an LED-equipped BMW.
As a BMW owner, you know of course it's a BMW because of the angel eyes.
But now there is no contrast so at a very quick glance, it seems sort of generic.

That is not intended to be a slant, it's just an observation.
It IS cool and it lights up the road like nobody's business.

I have to say, though.. Audi has the COOLEST headlights.
The ONLY feature on an Audi that I envy.

I took a good hard look at the Q7 and I was not impressed.
I'm not "down" on Audi - the A7 is very nice - but I was underwhelmed.
Mostly from the test drive - big old elephant of a car.

As stated the newer BMWs are now running LED lighting. You can always convert your X5 s angle eyes to an LED set up with a simple bulb replacement such as the LED kit found HERE.

Having looked around the forum, i've seen posts about the conversions often giving errors. Do these give errors? I've also see the price differences 150 compared to 300... why the hefty cost difference?

The LED Angel Eye conversion we carry (found HERE) does not cause codes, flickering lights, etc. Simple plug in and enjoy your new LED Angel Eyes.

BMW angel eyes are

MB, Porsche, and Audi have these strips of LEDs. From afar, you can't really figure out what car that is. Plus, even Kias now have those LED strips.

On the other hand, you can easily spot a BMW white LED, because it's not a strip, but 2 rings on each side.
