4.8 X5 dropped 2" inches overnight air ride is leaking somewhere?
I called the dealer and they said problems with this have been very rare, I did a search but didn't come up with anything. Since both sides are low I am guessing it has to be an air leak at a valve or something hard to believe both airbags would spring leaks at the same time. Input is appreciated, I have to wait to take it in until I get the warranty transferred. |

What type of a warranty? Is it BMW? My understanding is that if it's a BMW then it goes with the vin# and you should not have to wait.

The X5 will attempt to level itself by letting air out of the bags over night. It's common for guys with 4 corner air that park on un level surfaces to come out to a completely aired out X5 in the morning.

The warranty is through a third party the BMW dealer sold, they are registering it today. |

I just read another post that talked about how their angel eyes didn't turn on when the battery was low. My car sat for about three days when the rear end sagged, I drove it yesterday and this morning when I unlocked the car the angel eyes worked, also had no sag today.
I am guessing it was a battery drain issue, it still makes me question why if the battery was low that the airbags would deflate. Probably still need to get it checked out. |
