Engine bay fire, system faults, how to reset

My turbo blew and when I pulled over to service station and popped bonet there was a small fire under the engine on the plastic tray, I guess from oil, managed to put fire out quick smart. Since changing turbo it won't start and found out the wire loom from engine to gear box was melted and wires fused, mechanic ordered new loom and checked for other damage but none. Now the engine turns over but does not fire, there are about 8 faults showing on dash from gear box to suspension and temp is stuck on red hot plus rev counter flickers. Has anyone had this happen or no how to go about fixing it?
Many thanks danny
Ps its a X5d 2005
