Is this the 3M Di Noc CF Film?
I kinda like it, but I don't have the painted trim?

as long as you like it i guess, but it looks weird (the 911 reference would be the last thing to come to mind) not to mention that is kinda small, the protection film i have seen installed by the dealer also covers a portion of the door.

The stealer already got me for almost 70 grand so I'm not about to drop another 350 for something I could do my self.

While I am not disputing what you're saying...wouldn't that $350 be a nice "insurance" policy on said $70k vehicle? $350:$70,000 is a drop in the bucket. This is like people buying replica wheels for 1/5 the price of BMW wheels just to save...but then when they hit a pot hole and a wheel splits in half, they regret not buying the BMW wheels.

Lol I knew I would take some heat for the $350 comment. While you are right on all fronts I still like the break up that the black provides and it is removable. I made these because I just purchased new Oem 299's

Hey, like I said, I totally understand. It's a love-hate thing. I love the vehicle, but hate the price tag that I have to pay on top of my already tens-of-thousands of dollars spent. I hear you on that, I really do.

However, not doing something "right" is not my thing. For something like paint protection, I take that very seriously, because paint work on these vehicles comes at just an absurdly high cost.

If you notice the 911 had other black trim pieces that tied it all together. On the all white M Sport the black rock chip protector sticks out, well, kinda like a sore thumb. It would look much better on an Alpine White X5 with Sports Package - that way all of the other black trim pieces would fit together as though they were meant to be together - just like they do on the 911.

IMO those flares look ludicrously 'stuck on'... hideous.

But no opinion on the protector!
