Mr.X5_3.0si-retired is on a distinguished road
loud whining after e-brake use?

vehicles a 07 X5 3.0si
parked on a steep hill so i engaged the e-brake
when i came out of the gym an hour or so later i disengaged the e-brake and started to drive and the whining noise started... had this issue after using e-brake when i first got the vehicle last month too.. noise seems to come from middle or driver side of the engine bay..
if i turn off the vehicle and start it back up it goes away, any idea's?
i have warranty so i'd like to sort it out sooner than later

thanks guys
