Question Using LCI shock absorber on Pre-LCI model?

I've got a '08 X5 3.0si w/ standard suspension.

When replacing the shock absorbers, would it be ok to use the one on the facelifted model? There seems to be no change to the rear shock absorbers according to the RealOEM, but the front is different. The old one is 31326781917, while the new one is 31326781918. They are priced the same.

Would it be ok to do this? Comments?
