Front passenger wheel area is 1.5 inch lower...

so i've noticed my 4.8i is slanted downward to the front passenger side. I measured it all around and the car is definitely 1.5 inch lower.

The first thing I did was checked the air pressure and inflate all four to the correct psi. This did not help.

I've already checked to make sure the driveway and parking spots will level too.

What could be causing this? I know for sure I have the self leveling air suspension. could that be causing the problem? Any ideas?

do you get any messages on board about self leveling issues? have you driven off, to see if the car will level off? seems that the suspension airbag might be leaking, or the line leading to that bag could be defective, or the valve controlling that corner...

try to drive off to see if the corner will level off

I believe the self leveling suspension - the air bags - are limited to the rear suspension on the X5s that have that feature...

in the E53 world, there were EHC and EHCII - one was rear axle only and the other one was both axles...

in the E70 world - I do not know first hand, but I would think that the feature was carried over, albeit improved... besides, the OP did mention that he has self leveling suspension...

question to the OP - do you have air suspension on all 4 corners?

E70 only has rear air bags and I am almost certain its only when you have a third row, or maybe towing package.

Ok, it haven't leveled off by itself after driving like I had hoped. I check the 2 fronts and there's no air bags, so it's only the rears that have the air suspension. The fronts have the usual spring coil struts.

Chances are defective strut or broken spring.

It might be hard to tell but the passenger side sits lower 1.5 inch. You can also see it pics of the wheel area.
