Gorgeous. Love X5s without roof rails. The painted fender flares look awesome!

Forgot this update:

CREE LED Angel eyes

I tried the cheap eBay solution.
Great mod for small money. I'm happy with the purchase!

Was a PITA to get the rivets in without the machine. I used a metal rivet machine but this thing clogged up all the time. This pics were done without the rivets since I was done when it was already dark outside.

Next time use a drift to push the center pins out and pull the rest of the rivet out, it's way to easy that way.

Installing them I'd use a Plastic Rivet gun next time. I have done this one time and I'd bet I could R&R all 4 flares in less than 30 minutes now.

Thank you for the hint.

I guess that is too late for me.
Took me forever since the machine clogged up all the time. I did the last 3 with pliers and bracket.
They all secure now and I hope that I don't have to touch them anymore.

Does anyone has a suggestion or hint about painting the plastic parts behind the fender arches in the rear, the part on the bumper in the front and the skirts?

My buddy suggested to have the rough structure just painted since it is the lowest part anyway.

To visualize what I want to get painted:

Pulled out all my Photoshop skills!!!

Will it look ok with getting the rough surface painted?

I want the skirts staying black on top since my son steps on them all the time.

IMO it will look like the fender flares: a different color white.

You gonna paint the tires, wheels and and window trim all white?? Perhaps get white film for the side markers and taillights? Maybe a white tint on those windows???

Just not into the whole 'monochrome, hulking body look'...

But to the question, they will not look the same as the body.
