Onboard toolkit. Am I missing a tool?

My '08 X5 "onboard toolkit" looks like the picture below. There appears to be a tool missing from the middle slot. Can anyone confirm that they got a tool there and, if so, what it is? Thanks

Yes, check your box with the extra wheel lugs. The dealer usually removes one lug from each wheel and replaces it with a wheel lock. If this is the case the dealer probably put it in the wheel lock box and placed it somewhere in the car.

Denalio,

I have "no box with extra wheel lugs". I do not have wheel locks either.

Can you tell me what tool is missing? I need to go to my dealer tomorrow to have winter tires mounted.

Brian, FWIW mine is ecactly like your photo - I do not have anything in this location.

I don't think you are missing anything - this looks like the location that a key for the locking lugs would go if you ordered them.

I didn't so I didn't get the key

Cheers,
Keith

Thanks. That makes sense. It looks like it would be something small and fat like that.

My '08 looks just like the picture too. I also assumed it was for the Wheel lug lock key. So, I didn't sweat it.
