Side mirrors

Is it ok to fold by hand auto fold mirrors? Seems they give fairly easily. Asking because I left the car in garage and a genius attendant folded one by Gand. I hadn't realized until already driving and got concerned.

the outside mirrors are designed to fold upon impact with a pedestrian, in order to minimize potential injury. The internal "clutch" disengages, and next time you fold the mirrors mechanically, the "clutch" re-engages... if it doesn't click automatically, just push it back by hand, until it clicks...
