AC Blower not working on 2009 X5
It seems to be common problem, all of sudden AC Fan blower stopped working on 2009, x5-35d. It shows full speed on display but no air coming out of vents. I checked all fuses are ok My question is: if I buy cheap diagnostic tool like "ELM327 Interface Bluetooth OBD2 OBDII Auto Scanner Tool Adapter TORQUE ANDROID" will that help to detect if problem with final stage resistor or blower or something else? Thanks in advance Kevin |

It the FSR is bad there is no code. This isnt a space shuttle where every single switch and control has closed loop, redundant error checking. Look at the schematic, pop out the FSR, measure inputs and outputs...replace. |

surprise surprise ...
I was watching tv in car while parked. As you know tv goes off after some time while it's powered by battery. When I restarted the car, all of sudden blower came back to life after 6 months. Not sure if any sensor got reset by itself while it was shut down by battery cut-off. As this is the only unusual activity I did in last six months. I'll be curious to try again in case blower fails once again. |
