I think you and I think alike here.

Currently on my list to do within the next two weeks is the tranny pan/filter and fluid, water pump and thermostat, drive belts (AC & WP) and tensioner. Its for peace of mind (don't want to get stranded in rural Ontario going to summer home)

Did rear brakes and rotors last weekend and I did both diff and transfer case fluid the weekend before. (Use INPA or Rheingold to reset the counter for the transfer case when you change the fluid).

The coolant will be flushed when I do the water pump. The hoses still look in good shape at 74k miles on X5, so I will not swap these out.

The 35d has stretch belt on the AC, not a tensioner. Make sure you have the right tools or you'll be in for a surprise.

Are you 100% sure? Real OEM shows a tensioner
