Headlight beam angle adjustment,"Euro driving
Hi !
I have a BMW X5 2009 (E70) with Xenon headlights and high beam feature. Is there any means of altering the headlight beam for driving on European roads? (pictures/video/step-by-step guide - very useful) Something that can be returned back to UK settings when i get back home, easily... Other than sticking on the "Headlight converters" type things. Any help much appreciated. Many Thanks Sanjiv London (UK) |

If you look in your owner's manual there should be instructions for a small lever behind the headlight bulb that you flip for LH or RH roads (UK vs mainland Europe).
On newer models, the beams are flat and so don't require switching. Not sure what year the switchover happened. If you shine your headlights on a wall or garage door you will be able to see the pattern, and also tell the difference when you move the lever, if there is one.
