PSA: Sport seats... aka "The Nut Crushers"

Was hanging out with a buddy today who also has a 2012 X5D and sport seats.

We were talking about the car and how the leather on the left bolster comes loose and then we both got a bit quiet.... neither wanting to admit that if you exit the sport seats without paying attention that "the boys" get rearranged and not in a good way, resulting in more than a few moments of intense man pain.

I had thought it was just me, but it's the seats. And I'm a foot taller than my buddy, so it's not height dependent.

Consider yourself warned.

I can attest to that!!!

As the other half of the conversation last night, once past the collective awkwardness, we agreed the sport seats are not male friendly. Ouch!!!!!

You all need another decade or two on your bods...
The boys hang lower, but get smaller, as does everything else except ear lobes and feet.

Hahahaha, good one. I just moved from an E53 to E70 and really enjoyed the E53 forum. Good mature discussion and advice. When I was snooping around the E70 forum, got the slight impression that the E70 forum was a bit "stiff" - if you know what I mean. So I am glad to come across this post, good to know that there are still some that enjoy life and live light.

I'm sort of glad the side bolsters are hard - as my shorter wife exits, it is bent down and outward a bit and if my old cloth seats in another car were any indication - this is prone to tearing out at the stitches.

And of course the flip side is exactly as you mention - nut buster for sure.

i only made that mistake once. You need to be a little more deliberate with how you get in and out of the car but not much of an issue ever again.

I wear supportive underwear. No boxers for this guy, especially when I know I'll be driving the X.
