Sometimes modding is painful. Been there.

PS: Nice set of wheels to use on an F15. Should look great.

PS PS: Your tire shop knows exactly where those tires went... either into their inventory or one of the employees cars. If you requested those tires upon dropoff, they owe you a set.
Thanks both - agreed, boring out is the next consideration. My only hesitation is removing material from a wheel that's already taking a 50% weight increase, and may (or may not) need a spacer to clear the depth of the wheel hub.

As for the tires - spent an hour at the shop today. They lost the four original X5 tires too, even though they promised I'd have them waiting for me this morning. Six tires missing, total.

I now have a second (and wildly useless to me) set of X5 tires, and they're still looking for the Michelins. What a mess.

On all my wheels the majority of the center bore is much bigger than the end that does the centering. I'm confident much more than the 0.8mm that needs to be removed from just the end.

Adapter plates exist that have 74.1mm on the hub side and 72.6mm on the wheel side. They are 20mm wide. You need longer wheel bolts of course but that should not be a deal breaker. (on Ebay longer bolts $3/pc and $30 per pair of plates, spend $120, wait 3 days and Bob's your uncle... :-)

I ran 87s on my E70 for a few months with these plates mounted and it looked great.

That's a heck of an alternative. The 20mm spacer might even add to the look brought by the wheels.

I always forget these adapters exist nowadays.

Any chance you have a link? My google-fu isn't getting me there.

links to adapters and bolts

Adapters found here:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/15243983159...AAAOSwvSBaXhVu

I think these are the bolts but make sure that you actually need M14x1.25 Bolts:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/18258383247...wAAOSwjL5ZH4et

Either way just verify that these are the items you need!
