Def looks more "pedestrian" compared to E70.

It's not that it looks like Toyota that bother me (I don't think it does). The problem is that it steers like one.

So I went in and looked at both the E70 and F15 together and I just cannot get adjusted to the horrible profile view of the F15 and I absolutely hate the look of the nav / I drive screen sticking out of the dash. It just looks cheap and BMW should have made it retractable like Audi does. While talking numbers the sales manager could only offer a few thousand off of sticker on a 14 that was priced in the high sixties. So I asked him about a leftover 2013 I noticed on the lot in Alpine white with black interior. He worked up a discount of just over 8 grand and I pulled the trigger on a new 2013. So hopefully the F15 will get some refinements over the next few years to spark my attention again. Otherwise, I will be more than content with my new E70.

I could not warm up to the new design. I too ended up buying a 2013. My warranty was up and I really gave the F15 a shot. It looks like a boring SUV.

Thumbs down

Ohh I hate it too, it makes my e70 look so outdated, what a horrible SUV!
Whenever a guy on his pedestrian F15 MSport on 20"s pulls up next to my e70 at a stoplight, I will feel pity of him....

Sure are alot of people who don't like new design. Proof-I have had a new one on order for a month with confirmed production but no date yet, now supposed to be first week of Jan. Sure wish this design wasn't so disliked so I could get my car sooner.

For me to love a car you need to look at it from more than just one angle and be able to say "I really like the look of this car" and put a smile on your face!

I remember when I had an e39 i'd walk up to it and think it was such a timeless design whether you talk up to it from the front, rear , or side..

If you have to hunt around the car and look for your hero view then to me it really isn't so pretty.. to me I can hardly find a view of the exterior that i "love"

Interior on the other hand is completely different. I love it!
I agree, there's too many angles where this latest design looks very awkward, un-proportioned, etc. The e53 had the best proportions and lines, the e70 is second with some stronger lines in the front, but too large in the back. This one has a bad nose, big 'full diaper' tail, and it's lost the strong muscular lines. The interior is a different story; it's become more refined.

I have to disagree. The nav screen looks like an afterthought and why did BMW have to get rid of the stealth glovebox?? Anyone who has ever been in my E70 has always been impressed with the glove box design. It's stuff like that that makes the biggest impressions. Especially since it has a decent amount of space and "flows well" with the dashboard

Also, the new idrive touch controller is a PITA to use and operate. Even the BMW advisor couldn't properly demo it for me without getting frustrated

I'll be more than content with my E70. I am really liking the OEM LED angel eyes. They look very sharp on all of the BMW vehicles compared to the first generation versions.
