Any info on when they will open up ordering for 2016 X6 and X6///M?

My current lease is up Sept 14th. 10 weeks to a new ride!

Thanks,

Not sure yet, Chris. I'd like to stay with the ///M of course although I find myself questioning the logic. Do I really need 567 horse (Yes I do )

The Executive Package in the 2015 has all the goodies I want - the heated rear seats, HUD, heated steering wheel, soft close doors LED lights EXCEPT it has ventilated seats. I DON'T want ventilated seats. I can't get an answer if they can delete the seats. I'm hoping they will change the package.

I hate to say it, but those seats are a deal breaker. I hate the way all those little holes feel (and look) in the leather.

Ahhhhhh I see. For me, I like the little holes as it helps the leather 'breathe' against my bottom and my back in the summer so I don't sweat. I don't have the ventilated seats, and I've heard they don't work very well in the BMWs anyway, so I see what you mean.

I guess worst case scenario is you order new leather covers and have them installed (not difficult to do, just expensive). Are the rear seats perforated too?

I'm sure the 5.0 can get close in power to the Mmmmmm with a tune.

Chris

Dealer just sent me over the info on 2016 models. Production starts 8/15.
Need to look through and see if the packages are still the same. He said they normally won't delete an item off a package

I miss the days of choosing all your options separately.

I'm pretty sure it's just the front seats, Chris.

Slightly envious of L, and all the other gang that get a new ride every few years...
All of my stuff is like its owner: getting old(er).

I wanna new C7 Vert, 7 spd, Z51, blah blah blah.

Oh wait, I just spent a couple three $Gs on the '01 X, so I just look at all the new stuff for free, and dream about them.

Maybe L will take me for a ride in her new X?

It looks like tirerack just made my decision for me....

The 2016 ///M comes with 20s or 21s- 285 front and 325 rears and non run flat tires. Sorry, but I'm not running non run flats with those low profile tires. I thought if I could get RFs I'd swap them out at delivery but looks like no one makes RFs in that size.

So... I guess I will be going back to the 50 X6. Too bad, I was liking the Long Beach Blue.

A new X isn't even on my medium length list...I just want a ride in Laura's new X.

A new C7, short list, but a $45G+ buy including tossing my C5, gives me a little pause. The CEO is probably in line for a new car, before I am.

Baby, you can drive my car Anytime, mD!

Well, it's confirmed. No RFs. I called my tire vendor to check. I assumed if they weren't on tirerack they didn't exist but wanted to confirm. The front size is available but not the rears.

I have a slot for August production on a 50, just need to decide on colors. The exterior colors are limited to begin with but more so by the package you choose. These packages piss me off. They offer Graphite on the XLine but I can't get it with the M package. Really? So back to Black I go.

I've always gone with black interior but I'm thinking about switching it up a bit. I loved the full Nappa leather in my 2010 but now they only offer Nappa in the cognac/black bi color. Coral red/black dakota also caught my eye. I'm going to see them in person on Monday. Dealer has an X6 with the cognac and a car with the coral. We shall see. Bold step for me to change up the interior.

To be continued....
