FS: 2004 E53 X5 4.8is
2004 BMW X5 4.8is -121,800 miles -Black Sapphire Metallic with Cream Beige interior -6 speed automatic with tipronic -20" Style 168 BMW wheels -Sport, Premium, Cold weather packages -Xenon headlights -Heated steering wheel -Heated front comfort seats and rear seats -Power front seats -Park distance control front and rear -Navigation -Rear window curtains -Running boards -Panoramic glass sunroof Modifications -Spring suspension conversion; Bilstein HD shocks and struts with H&R sport springs -H&R 20mm spacers front and rear -AC Schnitzer pedals Maintenance Previous maintenance prior to my ownership most notably includes; entire cooling system replaced (88k), Valve stem seals (94k), PCCV (88k), Ball joints, Inner and Outer tie rods, Thrust Arms (97k) Maintenance performed under my ownership most notably includes; Expandable water pipe, water pump, valley pan, power steering hoses, alternator gasket seal, Outer CV boots (110k), Front right axle (112k). Aforementioned suspension modification (110k); I had an issue with the left rear airbag, and after further research on the forums, I decided I wasn't going to deal with this troublesome system, those who are familiar with the air-ride suspension will attest to this, so I swapped it out for a high quality spring suspension system using Bilstein HD shocks/struts with H&R sport springs. Still offers a smooth ride with increased handling characteristics. *This swap is why you see "SELFLEVEL SUSP. INACT" on instrument display. This was not a cheap endeavor! Oil pressure sender unit (115K), Right front axle seal (116K), Brembro rotors F&R, EBC Redstuff brake pads F&R + brake fluid (117K), Front lower control arm L&R, Transmission fluid & filter, Transfer case fluid, Fuel tank vent valve (120K), Both Front wheels refinished (121K), Right rear wheel refinished, Brand new Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 XL 315/35ZR20 rear tires(121K). Notes The vehicle is in good shape but not perfect. Some nicks and scratches on the front and rear bumpers. Interior is very clean and has newer BMW carpeted floor mats. Also included with the vehicle but not shown are genuine BMW winter floor mats, black hood vents (Installed), E53 X5 Bentley repair manual, BMW windshield shade. This is not my daily driver, so the mileage will be going up slowly. Thanks for looking Last edited by TY2k912; 11-13-2017 at 09:58 AM. Reason: Vehicle is sold |

I will be driving this to Limerock Park this Saturday for the IMSA Weathertech championship race if anyone will be attending and is interested in seeing the vehicle. You can call or msg me at 518-429-5809, however, the reception at the track isn't the greatest

Brand new Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 XL 315/35ZR20 rear tires being installed. Looking to perform an oil change later this week, and if I have time I will replace the infotainment screen. I've had the spare screen for a while, just need to get in there. The current screen has several white specks, which is a very common issue for these units.

Does it have a tow hitch?
Any transmission issues? Why is the airbag light on? Was it in an accident or occupancy sensor, or belt pre-tensioner? Have you fixed whatever it was yet? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Transmission has a two second delay when engaging reverse, I bought it that way and it doesn't make any funky noises or anything. When the engine is cold the very first initial shift from 1st to 2nd is rough, after that it works just fine and all shifts are smooth, it was like this when I bought it as well, and it's actually quite common on most automatic BMWs from this era. The airbag light is on due to a bad connector to module, and clockspring, no accident! It's about $250 to have fixed, I can have this taken care of if you were to purchase, or take that amount off the vehicle |

Nice. How much winter use has it seen? Has it always been a NE car?
