2003 X5 5-sp Manual $1,110.00

Blown Head Gasket

109,000 miles
~2,000 miles on new clutch, flywheel, Starter (replaced starter while replacing the clutch)

Was in the process of replacing passenger door handle.....and a few other misc items when a short trip to the store ended in a lot of white smoke and now exhaust gas in radiator water.

This was an 'extra' car that we mainly used in the winter time or when one of the kids was at home for winter break.
I replaced the clutch and installed an android head unit with a backup camera. and doing misc stuff when this happened.

I have owned the car for about 70,000 miles and have performed all of the maintenance myself.

Other stuff. Short shift kit, AFE after market air cleaner. Low milage on new pads and rotors. Pre and post oxygen sensors replaced in last year or so. Has a performance chip.

This is basically a give away, as the parts alone are fairly new and someone with ability to replace head gasket will end up with a car worth 6-9K$

I live in Salem Oregon

Good luck with the sale. M54 head gasket repairs are a potential bear but at that price I don't think you'll have a hard time selling. Should be a good deal for someone even if it needs an engine.

Here are some photos. I started to do a big write up but never finished, however the list was performed. Also short shift kit is not on the list

This will be a great project for someone. It has been well cared for, garaged its whole life, I'll take some photos of its current condition and location.

The front cv joints and 1/2 axles have been replaced since then.

check the links above to view photos on Google Drive. let me know if you have requests. Xoutpost has the worst jpg handling than any forum I post to.!!!!!!! I dummied down my camera as far as it would go (sony A7III) and they were still TOO FRICKIN big.

I do not expect to have trouble selling at that price, even without an engine! This was a daily driver, right up until I bought a 2013 X5 3 years ago. This 2003 has not been driven much in that time. Stays with battery tender.

I have too many cars and am out of indoor storage space and the '03 gets the boot.
I have 2013 X5, 2016 Macan S, 2002 Maserati coupe, 1986 911, 1980 308 F car, 1965 2600 Alfa Romeo, 1979 Jaguar sedan......all of these cars xcept the alfa are driven........................
So I do not need another project car.

The two Google Drive links you posted are to pics of projects and some of the replacement to the NAV display. I don't see any pictures of the exterior or other parts of the interior.

You're offering a great deal for someone who just needs parts. If it were an N62 I'd be interested. Good luck!

New Link for Photos

Forgive me. When I took pics today and uploaded to Google Drive, I did not realize I needed to get a new link.
My apologies. I hope you can see these. The car really is quite good.

Mileage closer to 113K. My Mind. I forget.

When you look at these photos, keep in mind that this is a car that has been sitting for months. It is not prepped for show or prepped for a top sale. This is a beautiful auto and I make no bones about it. First come first served. You will not be disappointed.
