Blackberry 8100 or 8800 on X5 (07/2005)
Can someone tell me if the Blackberry 8100 and/or 8800 will work in my X5 of 07/2005 with dvd/nav system with bluetooth. And with working I mean: - making and answering calls - full phone book use - text/sms messages Thanks Andre |

There are two versions of the BT system possible for your car. One uses the Bluetooth "ULF" module. This is the most common with retrofit and upgrade installations. Everything except SMS support works perfectly with the Blackberry 8100 and 8800. I have tested both of them in my car with several different versions of the ULF modules.
I am not sure about the BMW Assist version of the BT system. But, I think that it works just fine with the BB products as well (except for SMS support).

Thanks Brian,
I think I don't have retrofit becuase it was factory installed by BMW. Any way to see what kind of bluetooth system I have? Andre |
