"Telephone" option won't show up
Is there a special way to initiate the module. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in as well as disconnecting the car battery, but still nothing. Any thoughts? |

Is your phone compatible???
If it is did you turn on Bluetooth?? I have an 05 and if you press the menu button you will see the telephone option but it may not do you a bit of good unless your bluetooth in on. Here's the manual http://www.bmwmotorsports.org/pdf/B8...ManualIBUS.pdf Pairing directions. http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...ring+bluetooth

Thanks for the reply. I've used my phone with an M5, so I know it's compatible, but the problem is that I don't even have the "telephone" option listed when I press menu.

check your fuses in the back.
First check the phone fuse in the back fuse compartment.
If the phone fuse is good, then it may be a wiring problem with the harness. Hope this helps, dmoney98 |

OK, I just swapped the Bluetooth module from a friends X5, and it worked perfectly, so there's probably a problem with my module. I guess I'm going to have to take it to a dealer. Does anyone know if this is covered under the CPO warranty?
