Question Speaker Replacement DIY or $250 Shop install

Okay Catz n Kittenz, I'm contemplating a Stage 1 kit from BSW or something very similar for my X5. A local shop here in Houston, TX (Custom Car Stereo) said they would chage $250 to replace the stock speakers in the door (components); front and rear. For those that have changed their own stock speakers (DIY'ers) and those who have "tried", do you think its justifiable for $250 or the DIY should be fairly simple....

I haven't modded my X yet, (only had it 2 weeks) but I have removed speakers in my other vehicles...

ALSO, anyone know any good spots in Houston that commonly does stereo and other custom work on X5's...

All info is appreciated
