X5 Stock Stereo Specs, anyone?
1. Location of all the speakers 2. Sizes of all the speakers 3. Manufacturer, power rating and frequency response of the speakers 4. Output of the amplifier etc. Thanks.

1.)two on dask board,6 on two front doors,4 on two rear doors and two lound speakes in one sub rear right trunk compartment.
2.)1', 4'and 5.25' 3.) Mr dont remember. 4.)Max out put 300watts.

Thanks. You don't happen to know impedance of the speakers do you? And it's a 300 watt dsp amp, right?

X5 Meister check out this post. Good info however he's wrong about the number of subwoofers in the X. Incedently there are 8 wires feeding the 2 subs so it makes sense it's a 14 channel amp.

To follow up on the link above. The sizing and location is as follow:
2x 6" Midbass Drivers - Front Doors 2x 6" Midbass Drivers - Rear Doors 2x 2.5" Midrange - Dash Mounted 2x 5/8" Tweeters - Front Doors 2x 2.5" Midrange - Rear Doors Stock output is ~20W per channel. Manufacturer is Nokia on most OEM BMW drivers from 92-2006.

Hey Halston / zerochief, etc. - just curious, since I've always seen it and always wondered, what exactly is the BMW "Sound Module System" ? Is it for X5's that didn't come with a stereo or something?
