Without more details of your system it is nearly impossible to say.
However, without knowing anything, I can tell you that ground loops are caused by having 1 or more components of a multiple component system grounded in different places. So the short answer to your question is that the ground itself should be common for all components, and should ideally be 0 ohms resistance when measured to the negative terminal of the battery. d- |
