2002 non DSP X5 head-unit, want to relocate ground...where?

I think my stock head unit is the cause of my ground loop...I want to relocate the ground but don't know where I should place it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Without more details of your system it is nearly impossible to say.

However, without knowing anything, I can tell you that ground loops are caused by having 1 or more components of a multiple component system grounded in different places. So the short answer to your question is that the ground itself should be common for all components, and should ideally be 0 ohms resistance when measured to the negative terminal of the battery.
