Can CD Changer coexist with Sirius?

I recently purchased a 2005 4.4 with NAV, DSP, and dealer installed Sirius. I bought and received an Alpine CHA-S634 and Blitz-safe adaptor off e-bay. However, the dealer used the three and six pin adaptors for my satellite radio. When I install the changer in its place, the changer works fine, but obviously I'd hate to lose the satelite. Anybody have any experience with such a snafu?

Yes, it should work. You'll need an extension cable that'll be connected from the Sirius receiver then to the CD Changer...

audio/power cable --> Sirius Receiver --> Cd Changer

Aftermarket, BMW or both? Both three pin and six pin? How does the head unit differentiate between the two?

Hi,

you can have the CD changer and Sirius tuner. All you need are the two cables from and to the CD changer and the Sirius tuner module.

The cables are somewhere around 12-17USD and the install
kit ~50USD. I believe you may not need the extension cable but
you may want to order it just in case....

The E53 kit includes also mounting brackets etc... for the Sirius
tuner in case the dealer did not install the tuner in the location
where it should be (it should be where the TV module is normally
installed).
