Best way to get iPod Video or iPod Touch (video) to nav

I figured I would ask here first...what do you guys recommend. I have the factory navigation in my 2005 x5. I don't have the dsp or a sub, but I do have the cd changer. I have auxiliary input also, which I currently use to play my ipod. I would like to be able to get the videos off of my ipod touch or older ipod video and view them on the nav screen. What is the easiest way to do this?

I don't think its possible at the moment, but new technology could always happen sooner rather than later.

i was thinking using some sort of video input module for the stock nav, and then getting some kind of video/audio out cable from the ipod and connecting it to the input module, but i'm not sure which brands or how to go about doing it or if it would even work

Do you have a tv tuner ?
If you do that is your first choice, you can use your AV channel and view the ipod video there
If you dont, talk to Tom G at EAS they have Video interface for cars withouth the Tv tuner

No, i don't have the tv tuner either.

Would it work though if I had a video in for the navigation unit to use an ipod that plays video?

Or you can use the BMW "Switchbox", which appears to have at least 3 video inputs based on my research. I posted some info in the nav forum on bimmerboard recently...

Correct - the Dietz 1260 will be for the X5, you will also need an Apple TVout cable for video extraction.
