I would recommend contacting DICE to speak directly with a technician on your issue.

DICE can be contacted at 888.342.3999 or by email at DICE Electronics LLC - DRIVE | LIVE | ACCESSORIZE -Support.

so received the new adapter and it appears that was just one issue to be discovered. I now have sound however it sounds like its under water or pushing to come thru. I can hear it but its not clear, its muffled and broken. So getting closer but no cigar yet.

Any ideas on this one Tom or team. thanks

Business CD/Navigation has no bearing on DSP or its operation.

Were all components of the DSP adapter swapped with the new one, including the coaxial cable?

I have a non-Nav DSP radio and it works perfectly.

So I'm going to post my install here, hoping it will help you (themoth) or atleast somebody down the line.

I have a 2002 X5 w/o navigation w/ DSP. I ordered the DICE DSP adapter and the DICE MediaBridge (MB).

1. I first installed the DSP adaptor via the following:

-Power wire soldered into purple/white switched wire (as recommended by EAS) from the SES jumper bundle (it can be found adjacent to the CD changer plugs in the rear left compartment).

-Ground (earth) was run to a taillight bolt (directly to the chassis).

-Coaxial cable from amp directly to DSP adaptor (was a pain to remove the end from the amp!).

2. Next I installed the DICE MB as follows:

-The 6-pin plug from the CD changer was plugged into the MB.

-The RCAs from the DSP adapter turned into a 3-pin connector which was plugged into the MB.

-The MB 1500 bluetooth microphone was run to the front of the cabin under the carpet.

The MB MIP switches were set to the correct settings via the manual (I believe they were alternating for my MID headunit).

Voila! Excellent audio quality. I'll grab some pictures when I get a chance. It's no fancy install but it works perfectly.

First off thank you all for your help and time with me on this matter. So it appears the dice electronics are more sensitive then i thought and both the dsp and media bridge i had received were both defective. I have since replaced the defective units and are enjoying the DIce sound finally thanks again
