Right. Guess you could use more as a gag. However if you'd put this into a normally unused voice-slot (other language) you could easily switch to it for fun... (e.g. to Ozzy when you drive your granny around )

I did the update to V27 without any problem. I even change the logo and put in the Dutch language. The only thing I regret is that I now lost the GB language because my menu shows me " GB - F - D " ( GB= English & F= French & D = German) and at first I changed the French language to the Dutch but the whole menu stays in French and since I do not understand or can read this language I was forced to do it to the English language. Is there a possibility to change the menu that it for example shows me " GB - US - D " and I can change the GB or US in Dutch and keep also the English language ?

I think it may be possible via the dealer's computer to code the language packs that pertain to your vehicle.

I guess so, but it would be great to do it by yourself without a visit to the dealer no

I did a road trip from about 150km and I'm just back @ home. The Dutch language was supporting me all the way without any problems so I think I can live with the English text in the setting menu and the Dutch female voice 2 show me the way. But if someone comes up with a solution that I can get the English and Dutch voices in 1 pavkage I'll be glad to here. What choices of languages can you get in the US then ?

Anyone?
Navteq uses a standardized format for their DVDs. There is a document with the definition of the standard on their website - it contains also a description of the voice file format...

Awesome awesome awesome, thanks very much! downleveled my (MK IV, 2002 X5) nav to v24 from v26, then up to this version of v26 with the british voice hack - crossed my fingers, and voila - I have a Brit in my SAV! Plus no more nag screen, and I've gained route magnet.. AND I still have kilometers and meters, sweet!

Question Me too...

Couldn't get past the password prompt.

Also...

I've tried to cover this thread as thoroughly as possible and didn't see... has anyone found a Male British voice for the system? Everybody mentions female... doesn't anyone else want a male British voice?

Unhappy UID/Passwd?

The link includes both (mini downloads) but does not work. Hoster may have been overwhelmed with traffic and turned off, perhaps.
