HELP!! Need v25 software for MK IV

I downloaded one from a link I found in the V26 thread, but when I decompress it, I get errors. I did a search and found the thread for the V25 release, but the link goes to a site called Megaupload, and I couldn't figure out how to download the file. Can anyone help me out please?

I'm uploading it to a server for you now. When it's done I will PM you with a link to download it.

Nevermind... I figured it out. Megaupload is a stupidly designed website. Oh well.

Oh thanks! I appreciate it. I will download that one as well, in the event the version from MegaUpload is bad. You guys are awesome!

By the way, the reason I'm reverting back is I found an interesting problem with the V26.09A. I decided to revert back to V26, but with a custom splash screen. The downgrade went fine, but my Nav still displays in yards, and the emergency function is still missing. I suppose that when going back to V26, it didn't remove all of the data from the 26.09a patch. I will install V25, then upgrade again to V26 and hopefully that should solve my problem. Thanks again!

I think the one on MegaUpload is the one I put there, so it should be good. If you have problems, send me a PM and I'll set you up.

Jeff

I appreciate it Jeff. I'll let you know if I have problems.

The one I downloaded earlier was from this link:
http://bmwnavigation.com/software/Na...tware_Updates/

I don't know who maintains those files, but the V25 hosted there is definitely bad.

Regards,
James

I've sent multiple notes to the admin for that site letting them know there's a problem with that file but they have never responded

Regarding the issue you are trying to solve, I think that now that your drive is in "Euro" mode that the only way to get it back to "USA" mode is to have the dealer recode the unit. I don't think going to V25 will have any effect.

Hmm.. ok. Well, I'll still give V25 a shot. If that doesn't work, I'll make an appointment with my SA to have a look at it. Question though; is recoding the unit something they'll do for free, or will I be charged since I did this upgrade on my own?

It depends on your relationship with your SA. Many will do this complimentary (takes about 15 minutes on the DIS/GT1 computer), but others will charge up to an hour labor to do this.
