Navigation=Yards | Voice Control=Meters

Okay, this is nuts, but my voice control unit insists on me asking for Map Scale in modern measurements (meteres, kilometers etc.) which we don't use for roads in the UK...but my Nav Screen correctly displays the map scale in Yards, Miles etc.

How do I get my voice control unit to listen to yards and miles???

Is your voice recognition functions handled by a Bluetooth ULF or a stand-alone VR module? If it's the latter then you may need to replace it with a different unit that speaks in Miles rather then Kilometers.

It's the factory fitted OEM stand alone VR module...which is why I can't believe they've fitted a meter/kilometer version (I had hoped they're was some way of switching between the two). I guess I better call the dealer and let them know.

Thanks.

I wish I could trade you. Mine came with VR in feet/miles. Useless to me as we use meter/kilometers here...

My retrofit Bluetooth VR does exactly the same - I was told by the dealer that there was NO VR function with either the nav or the BT kit - yeah, right

Anyhow, I was told it was a bonus as it shouldn't work at all so they wouldn't do anything about it. It is a damned PITA when you want to rescale the map - however I now use the monitor knob as its quicker than the latency with the voice recognition. I only use it to dial numbers on the phone now, or to resume to map mode
