apw - above u mention 2 part #'s floating around
84-11-0-141-981 and 84-11-0-153-365. then, u
go on to say that the recent part # is
65-12-0-398-140. i contacted one dealer and they
say the part # is 84-11-0-150-535. which is it? i'm
confused.

Right. Perhaps the -140 unit has now being superseeded ... its possible.

Take a look at this link. It lists all the Sirius parts for the x5 individually.

http://www.circlebmw.com/parts/sirius/sirius-e53.htm

Good Luck !

Ps: I did a quick google search on that part # they gave you and its listed for a Mini ... so I'm not so sure !

The latest part # for BM53 is 65.12.6.976.961

This part also includes support for ID3 tag display when used with the latest (from 9/2005) BMW OEM CD Changer as well, so if they fit the very latest BM53 that will be a nice upgrade for you.

Cheers, Adrian
I have a 2004 X3 with Nav System. I am thinking of getting the CD MP3/WMA Changer at bimmernav.com. What would be the chances that I do *not* need to replace my BM53 so I can get Audiotext?

Assuming that my BM53 needs to be replaced would the dealer replace it under Service Measure B65-209-04?? I ask since in this SM the X3 (E83) is not listed as a problem car.

I still have a some warranty left on the X3
