another question on the monochrome vs color MKIV issue

the link below is an MKIV computer for sale on ebay from a well known seller around here. He has a picture of a color 16:9 screen (meaning that the computer is working with a color display)

http://cgi.ebay.com/BMW-E38-E39-MK4-...QQcmdZViewItem

if you look at the part number he has listed, it looks like it is from a monochrome Z4 display, right?

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...65&fg=95&hl=39

If the above is all true, that means that I monochrome MKIV can be recoded to work with a color display.

Any thoughts?

thanks... josh

Never heard of a monochrome 16:9 widescreen display.

I know that BMW makes those little 1" nav screens for other markets (not the U.S.), and they do make one for the Z4. Those are monochrome.

Maybe I am mistaken... please correct me then...
