Thats exactly what I have too on my screen. I propose that the problem is that the database is actually too long. The reason why I think this is that when I remove all the mobile camera sites which is about 3/5 of the database then the problem goes.

It doesn;t affect the functionality of the disc however since the miles on the right of the screen on each line is correct. Just a problem if you want to navigate to a specific camera site!

Hm

I have only insert 16000 radar points - with the dvd 2006-2 was it the same without any problem!

But the function is ok, the radar pois are on the nav screen.

Try closing down the folder that contains the asc2idxurl_mk4.exe program and the converted .asc file before running the command prompt.

If that folder is open, then the latter part of the .url file created gets corrupted.

I've no idea why this happens, but it fixed the same problem for me.

I will check it out!
I had the folder open with windows explorer - could this be the problem?

Now, I will open the folder only with the dos prompt.

I have made 2 menus, one with all sites without mobile cameras and one with all sites with mobile. I had the folder that contains the asc2idxurl_mk4.exe program and the converted .asc file open when making the IDX and URL files for both but its just the menu that contains all sites thats corrupted.

Just to update everyone everthing is fine after doing this. The url file ended up being a few hundred kb larger.

I think this problem is due to some interaction with Windows Explorer. The URL file is opened by Explorer when it is created if the folder is open on the desktop, this then prevents you writting more to the file and so it becomes corrupt.

Yes indeed - .URL is the Windows file extension for an Internet Explorer shortcut. This is also why Explorer takes so long to open the folder on the DVD with all the .URL files in it.

The file I downloaded was the single file with all camera types. Was this the correct one?

I am using 2006-1 High on a MK4.
