v28 prob please insert cd/dvd then after q a while says cannot read map

v28

I have recd many seperate cds of this and none work for me so tonight I made my own following exact instructions but again no good, my x5 screen says please insert cd/dvd then after q a while says cannot read map

pls help me!

That means you're not burning it correctly or the files are corrupted. The system doesn't seem to recognize that what you inserted is a software upgrade which is why it's treating it as a map cd which it isn't either and then you get the can't read map error.

Can you describe how you're exactly burning the v28 disk?

Hi thanks for helping I followed this guide to the word and burnt at 1x speed, the same thing happens to other disks friends have given me.

i have now had unit replaced under warranty as the dealers upgrade disk didnt work.
