Question Is this an X5 Navi Monitor? 65.52-6 923 877

Hi - can anyone tell me if this is actually an X5 Navi monitor, or, as I suspect one from an E39 or similar?

The part number I have for the screen is 65.52-6 934 413.

This arrived today despite being sold as a 65.52-6 934 413 - a direct replacment for my existing 16:9 widescreen Navi Monitor.

I have tried the realoem.com web site but it does not recognise that particular part number - unless I am being dim!

It does recognise my own correct part number.

Reading other forum members posts I see that this is a common mistake to make and that correcting the screen angle is not a simple process.

Clearly I will be taking this up with the seller, but I would like to have my facts staright - even though it is a clear case of miss-description.

Anyone care to venture an opinion?

According to my local copy of ETK, the 877 part was discontinued in May 2003 to be superceeded by the 413 part (which is the current part as of my ETK version 1.1 Jan 2005 CD).

Interestly, both parts are not associated with any BMW models - possibly generic to multiple cars but no association to any models.

Thanks for that reply.

Firstly dim question as a Newbie - whats ETK and where might I get hold of this valuable information on a disc?

Secondly, and just to clarify, are you asying that the 65.52-6 923 877 is listed by BMW as a suitable Navi Monitor for the X5?

My information from other older posts on the Forum was that this monitor's screen was only suitable for the height and angle of the 5 and 7 series E38 and E39.

WOW very impressive! You have 2 of these - do you deal in them?

But it dosen't quite answer the question of whether the 65.52-6 923 877 is a suitable monitor screen for the X5.......

John, BMW supply their dealers with 3 CD's with all data & parts prices. They are regularly updated & readily downloaded from P2P networks such as eMule etc.

They are:
CD 1. SYSADM CD - Essential BMW Operating Program to load the TIS & ETK CD's.
CD 2. TIS (Technical Information System) CD. On this you can enter the last 7 digits of your VIN number & the software will identify your exact car. From that input you can go directly to the data relevant to YOUR car on the ETK CD.
CD 3. ETK CD. The term ETK is German. In the UK it is called the EPC (Electronic Parts Catalogue). On this CD are listed all of the part numbers & prices (to the dealer - not retail!!) for every component, nut & bolt on your car!

All 3 CD's need to be loaded onto a PC, starting with the SYSADM CD, TIS then ETK. You can also buy these CD's on eBay for about £5 for the set (Well worth it I can assure you). If you go this route make sure you only buy a 2006 version so that prices are reasonably accurate. Sadly I only have the 2003 data set so can't help you out....

Rgds, Mike

You can search www.realoem.com/bmw by part #. The part # you listed does not come up.

Yes I have done this and also found it did not come up, but my existing part did.

I was worried by this but thought it might just be the way I was putting in the number - perhaps not!
