Help with re-updating navigation with V28

I Installed the V28 update yesterday, since that worked I wanted also edit the splash screen. So I used the GifExtractor and put my new image inside and navboot file in the original iso and burned it with Alcohol.
But when I tried to update my navigation with the new CD it just ran to setup and said that the system already has been updated. Does anybody know a trick to reupdate the navi with the same version but different splashscreen?

Downgrade to something earlier, and then do your custom V28 upgrade.
