On a Mk4, it's on the next page. Scroll down.

On a Mk3, it's still on the Mk4. You change from Mk3 to Mk4 to get perspective view :-)

Take out the Mk3 nav and fit a Mk4 nav

Mk3 cannot support perspective view.

Do you have the CD NAV01, the DVD NAV02, or the DVD NAV03? Ver 31 will work for all but may only update the last one. Depends on what your current update is. Latest for the 01 is SW 7.3.2; 02 is SW 8.4.4 and 03 will update to 09.07.02 with Ver 31. Check to see what you have now.

Confusion about CD modes for an MKIII-compatible disc

I am still unclear about how to get the proper CD mode. I have a MKIII unit and have both IMGBRN and MagicISO. With IMGBRN, I don't seem to have an option of changing "mode", and the mode appears to be "mode 1". With MagicISO, I have the option of choosing "Mode 2/XA".

With the downloaded .nrg version of V.31, is the mode already set? If so, is it Mode 1? Is MagicISO doing a conversion to Mode 2?

I know the consequences of getting this wrong, so I am being extra careful. If someone could post the exact burned image size for a verifed working Mode 2 disc, that would be a very useful sanity check for us folks burning the CD for the first time. Thanks

Rob

You cannot CHANGE the mode.
The mode is set by the original CD, however some (dumb) CD ripping programs assume everything is Mode1 and change the image whilst they are reading it. That's what Nero did, which is why the V31 is Mode1

Get a hold of V30 or V29, you will find they are properly available as Mode2.

I repeat: you do not change the mode, all you have to do is CONFIRM the mode is Mode2. If the image is not Mode2, discard it and find a Mode2 image.

You need to recode the languages using NavCoder, a Ressler interface and the latest firmware CD. The MK IV can only hold 3 languages at a time, so you have to select 3 from the avilable 7 (I think, German, US English, UK English, Italian, Spanish, French, Dutch and Russian).
