Best Way to Get Music From a Mobile to the Car Stereo
Secondly, I have a BMW E46 320D with 16:9 Sat Nav system, with a CD Changer in the back and TV Module. What I was wondering was, what would be the best and the cheapest/quickest way to get music from my mobile, which takes a 3.5mm jack to the stereo . (Before you ask, I don't have a 3.5mm Aux input on my Screen) I have seen various Connect2 and Dice etc interfaces that allow ipod integration but i'm not much of an ipod person, I would just be happy if I could connect my mobile to the stereo without an FM transmitter. The reception can be horrible sometimes, besides it can be quite frustrating to hide the transmitter everytime you've used it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

An AUX Input will be your best bet:
Auxiliary Input for BMW | Audio Upgrades for your BMW: BSW This will give you a digital connection into the vehicle and no lose of sound quality.

Since you have a NAV you should have empty 3-pin X14118 connector hanging behind the nav screen. Note that you want to read my last post since there is a bug in X14118 pin numbering in one of the instruction pictures. To get more sophisticated solution I suggest going for commercial products that plug into CD-changer harness. Like BSW product above.
