Well... v23 with Clone CD Audio CD multimedia doesn't work I'll try now the same choosing Data CD...

Arg, I'm getting mad! Could it be my MKIII unit starting to die? I've got a memory problem... but the navi stills works and the Map CD is getting inside without any other pb.

Is there any difference upon the place we are in the world? My car is a french one, so it may be Euro specs and not US specs, any difference? The stange thing is sometime, after the screen saying that there is not map CD in the drive, when I insert my burnt CD, it seems to be goos, a screen displays "Please wait..." and the, the CD ejects ans the screens says "Incorrect CD..." *sic*

Well, I'll try and try lol... and in a few days, I sould receive my MKIV unit bought in eBay.

Why are you speaking about a key CD? According to this page, http://www.xoutpost.com/showarticle-59.html, I don't one because I'm currently running the 40 software, so it seams to be v18 CD.

I'm currently burning with CloneCD Data CD mode... stay tuned lol

Thanks a lot guys for the help!

Thomas

Well... it doesn't work better I give up for tonight

I burn't at least 7 CDs from the beginning... all were Verbatim. Maybe my MKIII does not like them at all? I'll try to get another brand to test.

This is really strange.

Thomas

thomas-

i'm sure we can get to the bottom of this. in fact, i'm sure someone can mail you a CD that works.

but I am starting to get concerned that the problem is the Mk III -- maybe .. i'll leave it to the experts!

JVZ104,

I have tried to insert a burned copy of the nav cd into my 740i (MKIII), and after this randomly the NAV will say 'Reading CD please wait' but nothing will happen, and now the audio will cut off after 3-4 minutes. I guess the burned copy was not good. Also very difficult to eject the original CD once I put it back in. (It works, but occasionally has issues)

I have a local dealer saying that they will upgrade the NAV. (Free of charge) Will this fix the problem? Is this like re-installing the NAV unit? I going to sell this car and need this NAV to work properly in order to sell it.

Thank You very much for you help......

Hey man, I responded to your PM.

Make sure your key is in the proper position, per the instructions in the article on the home page here at X5World, and burn the .ccd file as a DATA disc at the slowest speed possible.
