Telematics Settings?

Messing around programming NavCoder in my car... Saw this Telematics Settings screen. I was able to add my VIN and license plate number, however I have no idea what phone numbers go here...

I have a 13th gen ULF in my e46, not a BT / Assist combo unit. Can someone shed some light on this?

Thanks!

SMSC=SMS Message centre (copy this from the data the network operator gives you with your new SIM card)
SMS Number=Dunno. Possibly a fixed SMS to BMW
Customer Relations=Hotline to God.

The God thing was obvious. However your reply to the other 2, is that just for the UK or does that include the uncivilized folks in the US?

The terms relate to GSM networks

Most uncivilised folks in the USA don't use GSM. But look around and you might find a GSM network...

Anyway, unless you have Assist active the settings mean nothing

SMS is for GSM networks. Would be interesting to pull the TCU apart and see if it supports the 850/1900 US GSM bands.

Also, what does the SMS contain? I guess it's for the Assist to SMS your bank details, sexual preferences and inside leg measurement to BMW.

I thought most US cell phones are quad band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz frequencies) on networks like AT&T and T-Mobile?

They may well be, but these are settings for the phone inside the TCU.

If that's the case then it would be interesting to see if they are automatically filled in on cars that have Assist active.

They are usually stored in the telephone device, and need to be configured when first used. So BMW would need to programme them.
